Our Mission

Global Faces was first founded in 2007 based on an idea to bring people of all walks of life together. In the beginning this was just a social and communication forum that was based on joining people together regardless of colour, race and gender. This was done through different events/parties to which the members were invited through facebook and flyers are invited to a chosen venue.

Today Global Faces has expanded into a small organisation that now aims to help the needy, reduce poverty and help small short term developmental projects. This is a non profit organisation that is aimed at helping small scale and short term developmental projects.

Our Vision and Concept
The organisation’s vision and aim is to work on one project per year. This means that the money made for that particular year will be injected into the project in question. If the project is finished before the end of the year then a new project will be started.
The organisation wants to cut corners and not spend a lot of money on administration. Our vision is to build, help, develop, expand and help the people in need by organising different charity events that will help to bring some reasonable income which will make it easier to administer short term developmental projects on a global plan.

Membership
It costs 100kr per year to be a member of global faces. This money will go directly into the project for that year. The parties will be for members only and one has to be a member of global faces to attend the parties.

Why become a member of global faces?
Since this is still a small organisation on a global scale here you still have a chance to be a part of a decision making panel. At the end of every year the members are invited to send in different project proposals and project descriptions and it is from this list that the board will choose one project that global faces will fund and work on for that year. Project proposals and descriptions should be well described, precise and should be small enough to be implemented and completed within a period of a year. You will be updated about the procedure of the project on the website by use of photos, resumes and the budget will also be presented for you.

Description of Focus group
Our focus group is the international community, hence the name Global Faces. We are happy to work with people of all nations regardless of colour, race or gender. We are also interested in working together with any person or group that is interested in global matters and who wants to promote the concept of globalisation. We are also open for working companies that are working towards bringing the world together and those organisations and companies that are aimed at narrowing the poverty gape and those who believe in development.

Volunteer work
Global Faces will arrange some volunteer work were we will have members come and do one days work for the good cause. Different volunteer work will be offered by our members and this will be done through different many well established arrangements all over Denmark for example Carnival arrangements, Roskilde Festival and other community services. The board will also contact different companies and make a deal with them that for every volunteering group of members they could donate money towards the developmental projects.

Parties
Global faces is going to hold 3 to 4 parties a year and these parties are Non- Profit parties and they are designed to be a get together forum with an aim to assemble members of global faces so that they can have a good time and get them to keep and expand their network. These parties are held to promote a good social network among the members.
